Code of Conduct

The Northgate Mall strives to provide customers with a safe, family friendly and comfortable shopping experience. With this in mind, we ask that you please observe our centre rules to ensure an experience that all of our visitors, tenants and staff can enjoy.

Northgate Mall reserves the right to amend and modify the Code of Conduct at any time. 

Animals

Service & Support animals that are trained to assist persons with disabilities are permitted but pets, except otherwise stated, are not allowed.

Appropriate Attire

Appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes, is required. Attire that may be considered objectionable, gang-related, constitutes a disguise, hoods and/or is intended to conceal identity is prohibited. Clothing with inappropriate words, phrases or graphics is not permitted.

Cameras/Photos

Please visit the administration office to request permission to take photos, videotapes or make audio tapes of or on center property or store fronts. Without prior, written permission from center management, no such activity is permitted.

Disruptive Behavior

Running, skateboarding, scooters, bicycles, roller blading, littering, loud and/or profane language, mischief, and/or vandalism is prohibited. Any act that violates Municipal, Provincial, or Federal laws or regulations is prohibited. 

Food Court

Please be considerate and do NOT bring any outside food or drink. Food court tables and chairs are provided for the purpose of eating meals purchased at the food court. 

Loitering

The mall is a place for shopping and dining, not a place for loitering. Mall management and/or security have the right to prohibit groups from congregating or from loitering for excessive periods of time. This applies to all entranceways, storefronts, common area corridors, hallways and all parking areas.

Smoking

The Shopping Centre is smoke-free. Smoking or vaping of any substance, including tobacco and marijuana/cannabis, is not permitted indoors or within 10 meters of any entrance.

Solicitation

Distribution of literature, solicitation, demonstrations, and special promotions or using the property for any purpose other than shopping is prohibited without prior written permission from the shopping centre.

Video Surveillance

Although the Northgate Mall’s security team performs regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of all visitors as well as the safety of the buildings and parking areas, to provide additional protection for the safety of all, the mall is serviced by surveillance cameras, at all times.

Private Property

The mall, including its parking lot, is private property and we reserve the right to administer, enforce, and prosecute any violation of these rules, as determined by us in our sole discretion, including in accordance with applicable legislation and as authorized by the Trespass to Property Act, SS 2009, c T-20.2

 
As a visitor or employee on the property, you are expected to abide by the Northgate Mall’s Code of Conduct. Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in being banned from the mall or criminal prosecution.
